Sign up to Volunteer at the Asamblea
Every organization needs to have at least one volunteer for a few hours. This is a great opportunity to learn about the back office work of our team!
What we need (3-4 hrs shifts):
- Transportation team: Drive participants who are arriving by plane to and from the airport (Sunday June 2nd and Monday June 7th only)
- Registration attendants: Assist attendees with registration, provide them withAsamblea materials, make sure they understand lodging information and give keys, answer questions, and direct them to be a part of the program for Sunday night.
- Workshop Room Monitors: manages workshop sessions, ensures that facilitators have what they need, assists them with setup/logistics/connection to tech team, and addresses any issues that arise during sessions.
- Information table: Provides general information about the asamblea, assists attendees with inquiries, distributes maps and schedules, and offers guidance on schedule/venues/needs.
- Social Media support: supports the conference’s social media traffic, shares updates and highlights from keynotes and workshops, engages with attendees online, and encourages participation using event hashtags.
- Photographer/Videographer: Capture photos and videos of keynote presentations, workshops, and other social/community events, ensuring that important moments are documented for NDLON future use and documentation.
- Interpretation team: we need bilingual volunteers who can speak both Spanish and English and can support by interpreting as needed when our professional interpreters may be busy (mostly for smaller groups).
